People call for revolution, politicians voice for revolution, media advocates revolution, I call for evolution! Any nation that asks for a revolution must first deserve it. Leaders point out to the youth of Pakistan that'll bring about the change. Which youth? That 60% of the Pakistani population which is mostly radical rather than rational? The youth around me? 80% of whom are into drugs and arms? Who are blind followers? Who are ready to take lives before they give their own? Who bribe their way out of situations? Who are so impatient that they can't wait for the signals to go green? Nations which are just, fair, patient and sacrificing deserve revolution. Nations who put the society's interests before individuals'. Selfless people revolt, selfish people just roll; towards personal gains, benefits and interests.
We all need to evolve before revolting. For we are corrupted from the grass root level. Trust me NO judicial systeam can cure the corruptibility that lies within a person. We have to be accountable to ourselves. Have integrity. Value the society over personal interests.
Don't demand revolution, deserve it.
It seems to me that if you or I must choose between two courses of thought or action, we should remember our dying and try so to live that our death brings no pleasure on the world.
Don't blame the leaders. They too are one of us only with the bad luck of being criticized by everyone and the bad-er luck of getting millions of dollars from corruption and bad-est luck of being corrupted *rulers*. I don't find any good in it. And who can find good in it except those who are so short-sighted that they give importance to a blink of an eye over eternity.
ReplyDeleteCorrupt are not our leaders, but our nation. The vegetable-seller won't leave behind any chance of grabbing a rupee or two more at any occassion, a shop-keeper won't leave any chance to grab more by excessively charging, a normal person won't leave a chance to steal if there is no one around, a pedastrian won't leave a chance to grab money which he finds on his way on the road. We all are corrupted at our own levels. It is understood, we certainly didn't deserve independence. We are a nation who is better enslaved than left independent. Enslaving us will atleast assure we'll survive, however leaving us independent; we'll kill ourselves.
