Want Your Needs

We often fail to realize that our wants and needs are not the same. 'Wants' and 'needs' are not interchangeable. Understand the difference between your wants and  needs. Always prioritize needs over wants. Heart can be tempted towards lavish luxuries, fantasies and extravagance. But these wants are often at the expense of your needs. Don't be short-sighted. Never trade off your needs for wants. You should want your needs and not necessarily need your wants. A relevant example here would be that of a student. One in his/her student life 'needs' to learn but 'wants' to enjoy. There is no harm in enjoying but when it is at the expense of studies; you are at loss. Take care of your studies, you'll have more fun while enjoying because there won't be any worries to trouble you in the back of your mind. Don't lose focus on what's more important. In situations that may have a considerable impact on your future, it is wise to listen to your mind than your heart; be rational most of the times and leave the whims for rare occasions.

"That same night, I wrote my first short story. It took me thirty minutes. It was a dark little tale about a man who found a magic cup and learned that if he wept into the cup, his tears turned into pearls. But even though he had always been poor, he was a happy man and rarely shed a tear. So he found ways to make himself sad so that his tears could make him rich. As the pearls piled up, so did his greed grow. The story ended with the man sitting on a mountain of pearls, knife in hand, weeping helplessly into the cup with his beloved wife's slain body in his arms."

  1. if every one wanted to want their need instead of wanting their want, then every one would need their want instead of needing their need !!!

it is the principle of the humanity to want what they enjoy , rather than wanting what they need !! or else today there would be no heaven and no earth, no judgement and no test, no believers and the the rest, no life and no death, no vanity and or profanity, no ignorance and no foresight , in short no black and no white.

our inability to think long-term for our own benefit has lead us here !! it is our ability to fall so low that allows us to prove how high we may fly !! in the weakness of human reasoning and life lies its greatest beauty.

To truly understand who we are, we must cherish and acknowledge our flaws but not succumb to them. we must revel and bathe in our weakness & ignorance but not become blinded by it.

in short our weakness to want what we may not really need, means fighting with oneself to do what is right ! and that makes this life so much more challenging, and everything so much more interesting !

  2. I really like the way you think and write, commendable! (Y)

And again, you didn't fail to bring in a totally unorthodox perception of the situation.
I feel that human beings should/can be expected to think long-term, we are the Best creatures that are ever going to live on this planet; why must we submerse in darkness to see the light? I don't think that we should take failures as a pre-requisite to success. What you imply is to fall and then we'll understand how high we can rise right? I think humans can learn from others' mistakes and experiences and not necessarily do it on their own from level-zero.
